💙🤍 Sunday in Action at Cork Regatta 💙🤍
Sunday saw another full programme of racing for Killorglin athletes, with crews competing across doubles, singles and quads.
Maria Murphy and Freya Doyle represented the club in the Women's J18A double. After progressing through their heat, they secured a place in the B Final where they finished third, demonstrating excellent consistency across the day.
The Men's J18A double of Rory Barry and Joe Horan also qualified for the B Final, finishing sixth after another competitive day of racing.
Freya Doyle was back in action in the Women's J16 single, producing a strong performance in her heat to qualify for the afternoon final. Racing against a quality field, Freya finished fourth in the A Final, capping off another impressive weekend.
In the Women's J18B singles, Kate McMahon, Fia O'Gorman and Maria Murphy all competed strongly. Fia O'Gorman delivered the standout performance, winning her heat to progress to the A Final, where she secured an excellent fourth-place finish.
Emily Lindquist also competed in the Club 2 single, gaining further racing experience in a large field.
The weekend concluded with the Women's J15 quad crew taking on some of the strongest junior crews in Munster. The crew represented the club with distinction and continued to build valuable experience ahead of the remainder of the season.
A huge well done to all athletes who represented Killorglin Rowing Club across the weekend. Cork Regatta once again provided excellent racing opportunities, and the performances demonstrated the continued development of the club's junior programme.
Thank you to the coaches, parents, volunteers and supporters whose efforts made the weekend possible.
