The countdown to a new season starts now.

Killarney Cougars Pre-Season Training gets underway this August, and we're looking forward to welcoming our players back to the court to reconnect with teammates, develop their skills, and prepare for another exciting season ahead.

The road to the season starts here.

📢 Please note: Our Academy programme for U6, U7, U8, U9 and U10 boys and girls will return in September. Further information and registration details will be announced soon.

A huge thank you to everyone who made Killarney Select vs Sewanee Tigers such a special occasion.

It was a fantastic night of basketball in the Pres Gym, with a great crowd, a highly entertaining game, and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.

Most importantly, the event was a tremendous success in supporting Comfort for Chemo. The generosity shown by players, supporters, and volunteers was truly incredible, helping to raise valuable funds for a very worthy cause.

A special thank you to the Sewanee Tigers for making the trip to Killarney, and to everyone behind the scenes who helped make the event possible.

Basketball has a unique way of bringing people together, and this was a wonderful example of sport supporting the community.

The wait is over. Tonight, Killarney Select takes to the court to face the Sewanee Tigers in what promises to be a fantastic evening of basketball in the Pres Gym.

This special event brings together local talent and international competition, all while supporting the incredible work of Comfort for Chemo.

THROWBACK TUESDAY

On the eve of another international basketball matchup in Killarney, we take a trip back to 2010, when we welcomed St. Ambrose University The Fighting Bees from Iowa, USA, to the Presentation Gym.

The Bees were on their first visit to Killarney, and were part of a memorable night of basketball, as we took on the American visitors in front of a great local crowd.

Fast forwarding to today, and the tradition continues.

🇺🇸 This evening, we welcome the Sewanee Tigers from Tennessee 🇺🇸

Different team. Different era. Same spirit of international basketball, friendship and competition that has helped make Killarney such a special stop for visiting American college teams.

From the Fighting Bees to the Tigers, we continue to put Killarney on the basketball map. 🐝➡️🐯

🏀 KILLARNEY BASKETBALL CHARITY SHOWCASE GAME 🇮🇪 🇺🇸
The University of the South (Sewanee Tigers) from Tennessee, USA, are coming to Killarney for a special international charity basketball game!

On Tuesday, 11 August, the Sewanee Tigers will take on a Killarney Select Team, made up of players from Killarney Cougars alongside invited guest players from clubs across Killarney and Kerry.
This unique fixture promises an exciting evening of international basketball while bringing our local basketball community together for a fantastic cause.

💛 Proudly Supporting Comfort for Chemo Kerry

Admission is by voluntary donation, with 100% of donations going to Comfort for Chemo Kerry and their campaign to raise €5 million to build and equip a new purpose-built chemotherapy unit for the people of Kerry.

Their vision is to ensure patients can access high-quality chemotherapy and oncology care closer to home, in a welcoming, comfortable and dignified environment.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help make a real difference for cancer patients and families across Kerry.
