Swifts were delighted to be the recipients of a very generous donation by the students of Ramsgrange community school in Wexford. The students did various tasks in fundraising the money and also took part in a full day session of skills and games in there gym hall. It’s great to see the game of wheelchair basketball being promoted throughout the country. A big thanks to Ms Moore and Ms Waldron for helping the students to organise the event and to IWA staff members Joanne Wall and Paul Ryan for the great session they put together.

AMAZING is the only word to describe the Irish wheelchair basketball team this isn't only an amazing occasion for the swifts wheelchair basketball club but a great day for Irish wheelchair basketball as they took bronze in the European championship for the first time in history. The swifts own michael Hennessy being a part of that amazing achievement and we are so proud of you mick and to all the Team fair play lads IWA Sport write this day in the book for the best fighting performance and perfect example of the phrase 'Never Give Up' in Irish sporting history

Best of luck to one of our players michael Hennessy who has the honour of representing his country and the swifts in the European wheelchair basketball semi-final today even though wexford can't win any silverware this year doesn't mean that Mick will come away empty handed best of luck mick and all the boys
