Contact us through Facebook or any committee member, or try out a training session on Tue & Thur. Kilkenny Hockey Club comprises of two mens teams, three ladies, and a large underage section. We are a growing club with big ambitions. Grounds:

Men - Tuesday 7 - 8:30 & Thursday 7:

30 - 9 (Loreto Kilkenny)

Ladies 1s - Tuesday & Thursday 6:30pm - 8pm
(Kilkenny College)
Ladies 2s & 3s - Tuesday & Thursday 7 - 8:30pm (Kilkenny College)

U8-16 Boys - Friday 7pm - 8pm (Kilkenny College)

1st & 2nd Year Girls - Saturday Morning
Primary & inter Girls & U6 boys - Sunday Morning

Season runs from September till April each year. Match Times:
Men - Saturdays, Cup Sundays
Ladies - Saturdays
Youth - Sundays

The Mothers & others from Kilkenny Hockey Club enjoyed a well deserved night out last night to end the season- a big thanks to Paris Texas sponsors for the finger food & reserved area. Their last training session of the year is this coming Thursday & they will be back again in September.

!! Social Hockey Returns Tuesday 19th of May 2026 !!Back by popular demand our first social hockey session of the summer takes place this Tuesday from 7:30-9pm at Loreto kilkenny. Pay as you play system in operation, 5e per session for existing KHC members paid at the pitch or through the following WhatsApp number (+353 (83) 812 7071). U16 Boys Division 1 Final

Kilkenny 2:2 Railway Union (3:2)

Kilkenny got off to a strong start in the U16 league final against Railway, taking an early lead in the first quarter.
A long ball into the circle found Dean at the back post, and he made no mistake with a tidy deflection to put Kilkenny 1–0 ahead.

Railway responded well in the second quarter, growing into the game and finding an equaliser. They carried that momentum into the third quarter and struck again on the counterattack to take a 2–1 lead heading into the final period.

Kilkenny showed great resilience in the fourth quarter. After sustained pressure, they were rewarded when Isaac reacted quickest to a broken-down penalty corner to level the game at 2–2.

With nothing to separate the sides, the match went to shuttles. Kilkenny goalkeeper Will proved the hero, producing outstanding saves to deny Railway’s first three attempts and put his side firmly in control. Kilkenny held their nerve at the other end, with David, Hadi, and Luke all converting their chances.

Kilkenny claimed victory 3–1 in the shuttles after a hard-fought and entertaining final.

The end to an historic season for our U16 boys picking up silver in the U16 cup, and gold in the league. A first for our club on both fronts.

U14 Div 3 League Final

Kilkenny 5:0 Laois

Kilkenny delivered an impressive performance to secure victory over Laois Hockey Club in the U14 league final.

Odhran Delaney opened the scoring with a composed forehand finish from open play. He doubled Kilkenny’s lead soon after, converting from a clever short corner routine.

Delaney completed his hat-trick early in the second half, putting Kilkenny firmly in control at 3–0. The momentum continued as James Bourne added a superb team goal after a great run by Liam Kenna. The win was sealed when Oscar Mack added a fifth goal to cap off a dominant display.

Despite the scoreline, Laois worked relentlessly in defence throughout the match and showed great determination. They were unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet, with Kilkenny goalkeeper Sam Harper producing some excellent saves to keep a clean sheet.

A strong all-round team performance ensured Kilkenny lifted the title in style.

Minor Div 2 League Final

Kilkenny 2:0 Monkstown

Following a strong start from a good Monkstown team, the Kilkenny minor girls started to get on top mid way through the first half.

The Monkstown goalkeeper was definitely the busier of the two making numerous saves.

Following an excellent flowing move down the right, Hannah Ryan was on hand to make it 1-0 to Kilkenny.

A dominant second half display saw the Kilkenny girls create numerous chances but the Monkstown defence held strong.

After a number of short corners, Kilkenny moved the ball wide right and following an excellent pass back to the penalty spot, Hannah was again on hand to make it 2-0.

From there, Kilkennys defence managed the game well, not allowing Monkstown any opportunities to get back into the match.

An excellent performance by the full minor girls squad saw them win the league on a two nil score line.
