A great end to the season in Freshford Squash Club this evening. Carlow Squash club took on Thurles Squash-Club in.the 3 Rivers Squash League division 2 league cup finals. There were some mighty rallies and closely contested games but Carlow had a definitive 5-0 win in the end. Well done to both sides for giving us such a spirited final. They all take a break now for.the summer and hopefully do it all again in October. Irish Squash

Last night saw the division 1 finals of the 3 rivers league held in Freshford Squash Club between Galmoy S R Club and Ballypatrick squash club . It proved to be the highlight of the season with the most hotly contested matches played. Both teams were determined to bring home the silverware and nothing was left on the court. The highlight match was between Conor Grace and Paddy Coady who had both gone from strength to strength throughout the season. They played at a pace that seemed impossible at times . It went the full 5 games with Conor just about getting it over the line in the last game winning 14-12. Galmoy went onto win 4-1 on the night The Michael Morrissey cup was presented again by his nephew Pat who kindly hosted the match in his club. Big thanks to everybody involved over the season. The still a good bit of squash to play with the division 2 semis and finals over the next few weeks. Irish Squash

The first of the 3 Rivers Squash League finals took place in Freshford Squash Club last Friday between Kilkenny City Squash Club and Ballyraggett. Final.score kilkenny 3 Ballyraggett too. Well done to all who took part in the league through the season
