This is a question I get asked a lot from my clients 🍻

And my answer is …

NO !!

With things opening up events back and Christmas just around the corner giving up alcohol doesn’t seem like a runner for most people🥳

And the that’s understandable

My coaching provides a plan that factors in all these events so you don’t have to miss anything or need to give up alcohol

I focus on educating my clients on better choices and making sure we get back on track after our night out or event 🥇

A night out or social event did not make anyone overweight ❌so get that out of your head ⚠️

Are you heading away for a weekend or a couple of night ?

Don’t want to undo your hard work ?

Here my tips on how to stay on track while still enjoying your trip away😎

Plan ahead 😎
If you know your going away for a couple of days you can plan ahead, the week or two leading up to the break make sure nutrition and training is on point
Add in 5 mins extra of training each day I call this damage control 👌

Steps 🏃‍♂️
More than likely your not going to be training while your away, but that doesn’t mean to stop moving altogether, City break involves a lot of sign seen and shopping , track your steps each day and try to hit the 15-20k steps each day while your away 💪

Choice your battles 🤗
You don’t have to try every bit of food you see in one day ,don’t make a pig of yourself ,
I am not saying don’t have what you want but choice wisely🤘
Sharing portions is a good help to 👫

Guilty free 😎
You don’t want to be the person that “won’t eat there “ or gets the salad ever place you go so if you do eat something that you feel was “ Bad “ get over it “

Starting something new is always tough , it’s even more tough if you don’t have a good support crew ,tell your family or close friends that you are starting running 🏃‍♂️ they can be there for support when your finding it tough to motivate yourself to get out for the run 💪 Even something as simple as them asking you “ How did your run go “ can keep you going knowing they care

If any of your friend or family have started something new not just running check in and ask them how it’s going for them it might be the difference that makes they stick it out or the help that they need🙌

Stay in your own lane 🏃‍♂️

I think it’s normal to want to do what other people are doing but it’s important to stay in our own lane by this I mean is focus on ourself and not what other people are doing or how quick/long they are running 💨

I used to get caught up in what other people were doing and it affected me running , stay in your own lane focus on how you are doing and nobody else 💪

Tip #2

Wear the right gear🏃‍♂️
Running is the cheapest exercise you can do , you don’t need to pay for any membership and all you need to do is open your door and run , But what helps is what’s on your feet , I don’t mean go out and buy 300€ shoes but make sure you have good running shoes and gear ,
I also feel strongly that if you like what your wearing you will feel more confident out running and also enjoy it more 💪 Everyone loves new clothes so get yourself some nice running clothes and you be on your way to that perfect run 👌

is the go to for me have a look in the clearance section and your sorted 🙌

I used to run in ASICS when I started and I find there a great beginners runner plenty of support and not overpriced
I wear Nike at the moment but it’s all about what you feel comfortable in and like 🏃‍♂️

I am going to run trough my top 5 running tips for beginners over the next 5 days 🏃‍♂️

Day 1

Number #1
Don’t over do it 🏃‍♂️

If you haven’t ran in years, or ever, or done any other exercise in a long time, do not expect to run a 5k on your first night. Start with the run/walk method – go slowly and don’t run more than 3 times a week. This way you’ll gradually build your pace and distance and prevent injury as they say “slow and steady wins the race “

Make sure to tag your running buddy and keep a eye on the page tomorrow for number 2 tip 👌
