Terry Fitness & Performance Our aim at Terry Fitness and Performance is
"Improving overall health and well-being through fitness" I believe in continuous professional development!

Terry Fitness and Performance is a personal training and class studio. Towards the end of 2014 we extended our service and with the addition of a custom built outside Olympic lifting area we opened up a small commercial gym adjacent to our fitness studio. This has been a huge addition to Terry Fitness and Performance and this is just the beginning. The gym consists of cardio area, machine weights,

free weights, Olympic weights and acres of grass area to train until your hearts content!! A little about me.........
Power-lifting has been a part of my life for the last 12 years, I have been working out in gyms for a large portion of my life and I love to train, to be healthy and fit and to share this passion with everyone and anyone I can. I qualified as a personal trainer with the University of Limerick through the National council for exercise and fitness in 2012. In order to be at the top of your game, this is what is required,!!! Therefore I am continually upskilling and researching new training techniques and new training programmes. I have trained with Boxercise UK for 'Boxercise' and 'Kids Boxercise' and am one of 2 officially registered trainers for Boxercise in the Kilkenny area. I have completed training in Pilates, step aerobics, TRX, Spin, exercise to music, and don't intend on stopping anytime soon.....
One2One personal training is exactly what it says on the tin. Its personalised individual training and is specific to you. As a client, you will be evaluated in numerous areas, including;
1. Muscular Strength
2. Muscular Endurance
3. Flexibility / Postural analysis
4. Cardiovascular Fitness
5. Body Composition
6. Movement screens
We work on everything including nutrition, injury rehab and prevention, weight loss/ weight gain, postural change and every other aspect of health and fitness. Some of the classes we run at the studio include;

I just want to take a moment before 2016 finishes and a New Year begins to thank each of you who have supported me and Claire over the last number of years ... 2016 Marks the end of a journey for Terry Fitness and Performance. It has been an incredible journey, I've had the opportunity to train and become friends with so many really genuine and great people, friends for life! But as one door closes another opens and for Fitness in comer that marks the beginning of JFlex Fitness .. I wish John every success and support in his new venture, looking forward to training alongside some old and new faces!! Head on over and show your support and give his page a like .. Some great results at IDFPA push / pull this weekend. I matched my pb of 247.5kg deadlift and then went for 255kg but got two red lights on technicality, I'm still delighted I managed to lift it. A massive thank you has to go to the guys in IDFPA and The Gym Ballina for putting on a fantastic show once again! It showed the hard work these guys put in as always.
2 PB's for & and a well earned 3rd place for

For a second session today I decided to try out a 1RM squat, Delighted with this 205kg squat! Still have a few heavy sessions this week then a light week before the push/ pull comp.

First time ever pulling 240kg for 2 reps ,
Technique went to crap so I really need to work it on heavier lifts but overall I'm happy with the progress I'm making! A Poor choice of pants didn't help either as I almost undressed myself with the bar πŸ˜‚

This weeks squat session really pushed me to the max, Pushed on by Chris Dowling, & .
195kg for 2 reps!
First rep felt light but i rolled forward on the second so not too happy about it.
