Clara Ladies Gaelic Football Club Clara Ladies Gaelic Football Club invite Girls aged between 6 - 18 from Clara, Gowran, and beyond!

Gaelic 4 Mothers was the first team to field for the club in 2012. In 2013, Clara took part in the Gaelic4Girls programme and entered competition in 2014. Our football club came together from humble beginnings in 2012 with the formation of Clara Gaelic for Mothers and Others. The success of this initiative led to many of those involved in the Mothers rolling out a Gaelic 4 Girls programme in 2013.

Girls came together from Clara, Gowran and Paulstown and the highlight of this year was the girls taking part in the National Blitz in Croke Park. The Mothers were the driving force in establishing and maintaining what is today a formidable Ladies Gaelic Football Club. The club continues to grow year on year catering for everyone from complete beginners to inter county players. Clara played Thomastown away in the Quarter final of the Junior 🏐 Championship. A great team performance with good work rate, passing, runs off the shoulder, and support play from all players contributed to a good win.
A special mention to Sarah Jane who stood up when we needed her and who looked very comfortable between the posts!!
Lots to be done to be ready for our semi final vs John Lockes. A very well done to all our players and to our 2 camera shy coaches Alan & Diarmuid 🙏 ……but if you look closely enough you might see them trying to hide in the background!!!
