Thank you to all the amazing children who participated in our Primary Schools' Gala yesterday and today. Every single child represented their school with great pride and determination - all of us here at The Watershed are really proud of you all, well done.

To all the families who had a child taking part - they did you proud, make sure they get heaps of praise and congratulations, they deserve it.

Thank you to all the teachers for observing our guidelines and cooperating with our staff to ensure the day ran smoothly, we appreciate you.

Last and by no means least, thank you to our amazing team of lifeguards and swim teachers and also our receptionists, operations staff and their managers - so much work goes into an event like this - a massive thank you for the huge effort you put into making sure it was a success, and it was - .

Hi everyone, please note that there will be restricted access to our Pool Complex tomorrow (Tuesday) and also on Wednesday due to the largest fixture in our pool timetable - the Kilkenny City and County Primary Schools' Gala 🏊‍♀️🏊🏊‍♂️

⭐Tuesday 16th June Country Schools Gala
Pool Complex will close at 8:30am
Gala will start from 9am
Pool will reopen to all members and customers at 3pm

⭐Wednesday 17th June City Schools' Gala
Pool Complex will close at 8:30am
Gala starting from 9am
Pool will reopen to all members and customers at 1pm

All other departments - Gym, Fitness Classes and Sports facilities operating as normal 🙌

Hi everyone!

From tomorrow until the 23rd June, we will allow all students currently sitting their Leaving Cert exams to swim free of charge.

Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 Free swim time is Monday to Friday, from 9am to 7pm (weekends are excluded)
🔹 Students must show their exam number at Reception for free entry
🔹 All students must sign in
🔹 Please check our Pool Timetable, our Facebook Channel or WhatsApp channel before visiting, for notification of any access restrictions

🩵 Exams can be stressful, this is an opportunity to take a break and reset and we encourage you to avail of it.

The wait is over!

Delighted to finally be able to say that the new whirlpool bath will be fitted this week. Some building works required which start today and therefore the Health Suite is closed until all work are complete. All going to plan, this should only take a week.

KEY-HOLDER

📍 Permanent part-time, total 9 hours per week
📍 Two weekday mornings 5:15am–8:15am
📍 Saturday 6:30am–9:30am (9 hours per week)
📍 Additional hours may be required to cover annual leave

🔹 Requirements:

✔️ Minimum age: 18
✔️ Relevant experience in a previous similar role
✔️ Strong organisation skills

LIFEGUARD

📍 Permanent full-time, 39 hours per week
📍 Monday to Friday, with weekends worked on rotation

✔️ Passion for swimming & coaching
✔️ Strong communication skills
✔️ Swim Teacher qualification an advantage

Congratulations to Eva Hoyne who was 5th at the World Irish Dancing Championships over Easter!

The Deirdre Maher School of Irish Dancing is celebrating outstanding success at the recent World Irish Dancing Championships. Dancers represented the school with great pride, following a year of dedicated training and commitment. Several dancers returned home with World medals including one coveted World Globe. A huge achievement for all involved, and a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by these young dancers throughout the year.

Swimming lessons are back from week commencing Monday 13th April, this will be our final term before we start our summer programme of adult swim courses and children's swim skills camps.

Enrolment will be online via CoursePro https://thewatershed.courseprogress.co.uk/login (see link in bio) and will start at midday on Wednesday 8th April.

✅ Duckllings - ages 3 to 5 years - 4 week course - €55
✅ Levels 1 to 7 - ages 5.5 years plus - 9 week term - €115.02
✅ Sharks - ages 10 plus - 9 week term - €115.02
✅ Adults - ages 16 years plus - 9 week term - €125.01

❗️ Please note:
🔹 It's very important that you book the correct swim level for your child, if you are not sure, do not make a booking, check with us first. Time permitting, we can offer assessments free of charge.
🔹 The minimum age for group lessons starting at Level 1 is ** strictly ** of 5 years and 6 months.
🔹Sharks is advanced lane swimming for children who have graduated from Level 7 of our lessons, or who have not completed our Level 7 but are at the equivalent standard - and want to maintain swim skills and fitness. The minimum age of 10 is a guide, your child may be younger.
🔹There are no refunds on swimming lessons.
