🌿 Thank You from the 29th Ballyhoura Walking Festival 2025! 🌿

We’ve just about wrapped up everything from this year’s festival — what a weekend it was! Held in early October, the 29th Ballyhoura Walking Festival welcomed over 360 participants across all events — a true celebration of community spirit, adventure, and the great outdoors.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — too many to mention! Special appreciation to our incredible volunteers and The Ballyhoura Bears Walking Club for their dedication and energy throughout the planning and the weekend.

Heartfelt thanks to Ballyhoura Walking Festival committee and to both boards — Ballyhoura Fáilte and Ballyhoura Heritage & Environment CLG — for their continued support. A big shout-out to the Ballyhoura Heritage & Environment CE Scheme team for maintaining and preparing the trails so well in advance of the festival.

We’re also grateful to the Joyce Brothers Music Festival for their amazing cultural programme and to Kilfinane Community Council for the vibrant Food Fair. The weekend was filled with great chats, laughter, and stories shared by our wonderful guides, with heritage walks rich in history adding an extra layer of depth and connection to the landscape.

Huge thanks as well to all local shops, pubs, and Centra Kilfinane for keeping everyone fuelled and for their warm hospitality throughout the festival.

The 29th Ballyhoura Walking Festival is proudly supported by Limerick City and County Council and Fáilte Ireland.

💚 Thank you to all who made this year such a success — a true reflection of what community collaboration can achieve!
