🕡 18:20 - 19:45 Senior Class (Teens & Adults)
Everyone is welcome! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this class covers both the traditional and competition sides of karate.

Such an amazing weekend just happened for our club, and in particular our members of 12 years, Dillon and Anna.

The lads set out with the club back in 2012 as Junior infants. And now as they enter their leaving cert year they have both had the most insanely accomplished weekends of their successful Karate careers.

Due to the pandemic their Blackbelt exam is 3 years later than it should be. But they took the exam after 2 gruelling years of training relentlessly post lockdown this weekend. And after a very tough examination they both passed performing incredibly well. A weekend to be proud of for sure. It had been 8 years since we last had a first time blackbelt. And it was amazing to experience it again

But as if that wasnt enough, they then competed at the IJKA European Open Championships 2024. today. Anna took Silver in the womens under 20 division, and Dilllon took Gold in the mens under 20s becoming European champion.

These 2 members are a huge credit to our club, to their families and to the whole village. They are always there when asked for any event, have helped all the kids whilst still only teens themselves and are just exemplary examples to our junior members. The whole club is so proud of them for giving us a weekend to remember.
