Massive congrats and well done to the U14 Development squad who had another great victory last Saturday September 5th at Old Grange in their second group game of the championship vs Round Towers of Kildare. The Larries girls started well and held a commanding lead at half-time with some great direct running, clever forward runs and support play (something which the girls have been working hard to improve upon lately) leading to some excellent scores. The backs were also very determined to win every ball that came their way. To their credit the Round Towers girls showed great resilience and fought back with some lovely scores of their own in the second half but the Larries girls weren't to be denied and tagged on a few more well worked scores of their own. A fantastic display overall from this brilliant bunch of girls who are all gelling together so well with no less than 8 x 2014 girls stepping up 2 years to play U14 to help us out with a few of our 2013 girls injured/unavailable and they didn't look out of place at all...carrying the fight to Round Towers at every opportunity. Next up for these girls is a joust with our local rivals and good neighbours Kilcullen at Old Grange at 11.45am on Saturday September 19th. Keep up the great work girls!
