NEW WDFL SECOND TEAM – PLAYERS WANTED FOR 2026/27

Following the success of our WDFL Premier Division Champions and the continued growth of the club, we’ve seen a real increase in demand for senior football at St Anthony’s.

With the new WDFL season starting at the end of September, we are now moving quickly to establish a competitive Second Men’s Team for 2026/27.

We want to hear from:

⚽ Former St Anthony’s players who fancy getting the boots back on
⚽ Players who aren't currently playing and want to return to competitive football
⚽ Players from clubs across Wicklow and Dublin looking for a new challenge
⚽ Players with ambitions to progress towards our Premier Division First Team
⚽ Anyone who wants to join a growing club and play competitive WDFL football

The new Second Team will be a team in its own right, with:

✅ Its own management team
✅ Dedicated training slots
✅ Its own WDFL fixtures and match schedule
✅ A competitive senior squad
✅ A pathway into our First Team

Players performing well with the Second Team will have the opportunity to step up to First Team football when opportunities arise.

Our new Youths programme will also connect directly into the senior setup, creating a clear club pathway:

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY

Our pre-season preparations continue this Sunday as we welcome Leinster Senior League side Sallynoggin Pearse to Finn Park.

Another strong test for the lads as we continue building towards the new season.

Start of season nearly here and the club house has received a summer glow up with a superb paint job by Karl Hickey and our installation today of new club crest and signage by Sign on Time

The pitches are turning green so all the colours here at StAnthonys for the new season

One week in to our new pitch works..
Our new Pitch at Dermot Wheeler Park will be 11/9 aside with drainage and irrigation system across it and existing pitches at Finn Park..

We are currently looking for players born in

2014 | 2015 | 2016 | 2017

Best of luck to our U15s will face Ashford tomorrow in the Summer Challenge Cup Final.

An unbeaten run home and away so far in this competition since early July, they will be hoping for one more win to lift the cup.

A big thanks to lads families, club coaches and younger members for the great support from the sidelines all summer, all support this evening would be very much appreciated 💪

LFA SENIOR CUP – HUGE CUP GAME
Competitive football is back at Finn Park this Saturday as our Senior lads kick off the new season with a massive LFA Senior Cup clash.
