When it's hot outside and you run hot + heavily pregnant 🤰 or peri....sleeping can be a real challenge ..particularly if your bedroom is south facing and you don't have access to a fan and can't open windows..and just when you do finally nod off, it's bright again outside.. 👀 what to do..
eyemasks all the way ladies, I wear one most nights but I know that a lot of people don't love them.
Another tip is to include plenty of fluids during the day time in the form of fruit and cool tea's, prepping fruit the night before for yourself as well as kids as you will be too tired to do it in the morning..
Supervalue have fresh coconut 🥥 with straw if you like that kind of thing, it's great for the electrolytes plus.. my 'leaving cert' teen loves it too.

Apart from the heat and brightness playing with our sleep ..in TCM the SHEN is the SPIRIT aspect of our hearts and it can get a bit agitated in times of stress and anxiety, over heating and hormonal flux .

Good old Acupuncture has a few great points for this that help to calm the SHEN and help to restore sleep.
