JUNIOR HOCKEY:
The North Kildare Club offer junior coaching to children from senior infants up. Junior coaching takes place on Sunday mornings from September to March. We are always delighted to welcome new players so if you would like to try it please come down on a Sunday morning! Your child will need to wear weather appropriate sports gear and runners (no studs). We have spare sticks but you wi

ll need your own gum shield, protective gloves and shin guards (available in Elvery's in Maynooth). Children can do a 2 week free trial before paying subs. All junior players must be registered on our website for insurance purposes. See www.northkildarehockeyclub.com. Please register your details and select '2 week free trial' if you are new and wish to try it out before paying full subs. And pls like our page for regular updates!

Congratulations to our NK girls who took part in the National U15 Hockey Festival at Rathdown School on Sunday 💪🏻 proudly representing NK and Leinster South.

With over 200 girls from all provinces taking part, it was a fantastic experience and a great achievement for all involved. The NK girls have been training hard every Sunday with the U16 Leinster South squad and now look ahead to the summer panel selections.

A huge well done to our NK girls, Heloise Burke, Sarah Brady, Abbie Birnie and Ruby Whelan, who travelled to Athlone Hockey Club on Sunday as part of the U18 Leinster South Panel.

The girls took part in two friendly games against the Connacht U18 panel and all performed brilliantly.
They should be very proud of themselves as they now await the summer panel selection.

Well done to our 5th and 6th girls that took part in the Boyne h.c u12s indoor tournament on sunday.

They had a fantastic day with team 1 getting to the quarter finals. For many it was their first time to play in an indoor tournament. Grace Ruddy won Goalkeeper of the tournament 👏🏅amazing achievement.

We are all incredibly proud of the girls and their coaches Ophelie, Liz and Lorna who put in extra indoor sessions to prep the girls.

Well done to our U16 boys, who narrowly lost 4–3 to Monkstown HC in their league final. What a game, it was an incredible display of hockey from both sides 👏

Huge credit to Sean (coach) and Ophelie (manager) for their dedication and hard work with this fantastic group of lads. Reaching a final is an amazing achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of you all 🙌

For many, this marked their final junior game, what a way to go out.

Our NK family showed up in force, creating an electric atmosphere around the club 💙❤️ And in true hockey spirit, the teams came together afterwards to share pizza, memories that will last far beyond the final whistle.

Well done, boys ❤️💙
