Cyclists from across Munster and beyond will gather on Sunday, 14 June, as Kilbehenny Cycling Club hosts its annual “4 Counties & Vee Pass” sportive.

The event promises a memorable day in the saddle with two route options catering for a wide range of abilities — a challenging 100km route and a scenic 60km spin.

The headline 100km route takes riders through four counties — Limerick, Cork, Waterford and Tipperary — showcasing some of the finest cycling roads in Munster. Cyclists will pass through Mitchelstown, Fermoy, Conna, Tallow, Lismore, Cappoquin, before tackling the iconic climb to The Vee in the spectacular Knockmealdown Mountains, Clogheen , Ballyporeen , kilbehenny

For those looking for a shorter but equally enjoyable challenge, the 60km route offers a scenic tour through Ballyporeen, Clogheen, Goatenbridge and Ardfinnan, Ballyporeen , Kilbehenny

Known for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent organisation, the Kilbehenny sportive has become a popular fixture on the Irish cycling calendar. Riders can expect well-marked routes, refreshment stops along the way and post-ride hospitality back at the community centre.

This year’s event is also supporting an important cause, raising funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease patient Clare Downey and her family.

Whether you are an experienced sportive rider chasing the challenge of The Vee or a leisure cyclist looking for a great day out on the bike, the Kilbehenny Cycling Club sportive offers something for everyone.
