⛳️ Junior League Champions 2025 ⛳️

The last outing for our junior boys’ team took place in Killarney Golf Club-Mahony’s, and what a truly memorable day it was! 🌟 A beautiful course, perfect weather, and a wonderful presentation made it an occasion to remember.

A huge thank you to Killarney Golf Club for their hospitality, and to the Kerry Federation of Junior Golf who continue to keep junior golf thriving and at such a high standard across the county.

🏆 We are incredibly proud to say that Waterville are Kerry Federation Junior Golf Champions for the first time since 1991 – history made here in our club! 💚

Friday evening’s surprise homecoming was one we’ll never forget, as we were warmly welcomed back by our Captain-Dave Barrett, our President-Pat Everett, along with Committee members, parents, and friends. It was also very special to have our club pros, Liam Higgins and Brian Higgins, on hand to greet the boys – a fitting moment, as they continue to put in so much work with our juniors, both boys and girls, on an ongoing basis.

👏 A special mention also to our Junior Captain, Finn Moynihan, who was awarded Golfer of the Year by the Federation and presented with a beautiful trophy. Finn has been a fantastic ambassador for Waterville Golf Club all year, leading by example and proving himself a wonderful role model for all of our junior boys. We are extremely proud of him. 🌟

Even more special was the presence of some of the original 1991 team captured in the photograph we’ve shared. In a beautiful twist of history, some of those players now have sons on this 2025 winning team – standing at the same age their fathers were when they lifted the trophy all those years ago. 🏆💚

Sincere thanks also to our junior officer Trevor Devereux , our junior committee, and all who made the celebration possible. And finally, thank you to our management team, hospitality team, members and supporters who turned out on the night to cheer on the boys – your presence made the occasion all the more special.

The support, encouragement, and spirit shown proves once again that the future of Waterville Golf Club is bright. 🌟

⛳️Well done to Matthew O’Sullivan, who represented Waterville Golf Club earlier today in the Portmarnock Junior Invitational.

🏌️‍♂️This prestigious competition is open only to juniors with a Handicap Index of 9 or lower.

👏🏼Matthew played very well, scoring 38 points to secure third place, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A great ambassador for our club!

💪🏽We’ve no doubt we’ll see more of our talented juniors taking part next year!

Junior League Update –
⛳️Ring of Kerry GC

A brilliant day out this week for our Junior League boys and girls at the stunning Ring of Kerry Golf Club. With some tricky pins and challenging conditions, our young golfers rose to the occasion and played some fantastic golf.

We’re so proud of how they continue to represent the club — with skill, determination, and great sportsmanship every time they step onto the course.

Huge thanks to Ring of Kerry Golf Club for their warm hospitality and for providing such a beautiful setting. 👏🏼

And of course, thank you to everyone who helps make these outings possible — your support means the world to our young players.

A fantastic day of golf and celebration awaits tomorrow at Waterville Golf Club as we officially welcome our 2025 club captains and presidents.

⛳️ Leading the way on the tee will be our Club Captains Andrea Fitzgerald & Dave Barrett, alongside our Junior Captains Clíonadh O’Shea & Finn Moynihan.

🏌️‍♂️🏌🏽‍♀️Also teeing off on this special occasion are our Club Presidents Moira Lynott & Pat Everett and we wish them all an amazing year of leadership and dedication.

Best of luck to everyone playing in the 9-Hole Scramble – a great way to start the season with plenty of fun and friendly competition!
