Well done to our U15 boys tonight who claimed the Seamus Fahy shield over Freshford Town.

A very close contest it went all the way to a penalty shoot out, after the game ended 2-2 after extra time.

Freshford Town took the lead twice but Eoin Barnaville and Cathal O Reilly twice equalised in normal time.

Both teams could not find a winner in extra time with our lads prevailing 4-3 after penalties.

It's a good end to the season for the lads after finishing runners up in the league.

Spa United would like to wish Ellie Ahern, Faye Murphy and Sarah McEvoy the very best of luck as they represent the Kilkenny District League in the Gaynor Cup, which gets underway tomorrow.

The 3 girls have worked incredibly hard to earn this opportunity, and everyone at our club are proud of their achievement.

We have no doubt that Ellie, who also captains the squad, Faye and Sarah will represent Kilkenny and Spa United with pride and distinction on the national stage.

Best of luck girls, enjoy every moment and make some fantastic memories.

Well done to our U13 girls who lifted the St Canices Credit Union Plate in Derdimus Park last evening.
Taking on Stoneyford United in the final, the girls settled early with both teams giving their all in a very even first half.
The all important goal coming 3 minutes into the 2nd half with Meave O Loughlin rounding the keeper and tapping the ball to the net.
Stoneyford pushed for the equaliser but a brilliant save late on from our keeper Areanah O Connor ensured victory for the girls.
Well done to Tom and the girls on a great end to the season.
The girls finished the evening with a meal at Primo sponsored by James and Julia from Pellito Foods.
