🌟 Word of the Week: Eloquence 🌟

At Greystones Toastmasters, we believe everyone has a story to tell. Our goal is to help you find the right words to tell it with eloquence.

📖 The Meaning
Eloquence (noun): Fluent or persuasive speaking or writing.
The quality of delivering a clear, strong message that connects with an audience.

🗣️ How to Use It
You don’t need to use big words to have eloquence; it’s all about the impact of your message:
In a Speech: "He spoke with such eloquence that the entire room was silent, hanging on his every word."
In Table Topics: "You don't need to be a professional orator to show eloquence; sometimes the simplest stories are the most moving."
In Conversation: "I really admire how she handled that difficult question with such eloquence and grace."

💡 Recommendation for Usage
Focus on Clarity: Use this word when you want to describe a speech that wasn't just "good," but truly meaningful.

The Grammarian’s Tip: If you want to describe a person, use the adjective form: Eloquent. For example: "Our guest speaker gave an eloquent defence of local biodiversity."
