Wild Mountain Nature-based Therapeutic Riding and Pony Facilitated Experiential Learning: building physical, social, emotional, cognitive, behavioural & educational skills through interactions with ponies. Nature-based: activities take place in beautiful, outdoor, natural setting. Experiential learning: participants are guided to draw on their own life experience & potential to find solutions - to
experience, reflect, draw conclusions & try out their new knowledge in their next experience. Native ponies including the extremely rare ancient Irish heritage breed - the Kerry Bog Pony. Learning and personal growth are key focal points. Self-esteem, confidence, self awareness, communication skills and willingness to try new things are common areas of growth. Yasmin has a Masters in Social Anthropology from Queen's University in Belfast, an International Arts Degree from University College Dublin, taught in community education for 10 years, won a National Award and featured on RTE News for her Literacy work with teenagers, is a qualified HSI Level 1 Coach for equestrian sport, trained with Rupert Isaacson up to Level 3 of his Horseboy Method for working with kids with autism through horses, trained with Ranchobosque, Heals and EAGALA in Equine Assisted Learning, trains Kerry Bog Ponies as riding and therapeutic ponies and is very involved in promoting this rare, Irish heritage breed to ensure its survival.
