M&F United would like to send our heartfelt condolences to Daniel’s Family, friends and former team mates, Daniel was a remarkable young man who left an indelible mark on all who knew him—both as a fierce competitor on the pitch and a kind, genuine soul off
M&F United—had the privilege to face Daniel and his team many times over the years. Those matches were more than just games; they were a celebration of spirit, skill, and friendship. Daniel and his 2 brothers were at the heart of that. His passion, talent, and determination made him a standout player, but it was his warmth, humility, and sportsmanship that truly made him special.
We shared many great moments with Daniel and his team. One of the most memorable was watching him proudly represent Ireland at the Powerchair Football World Cup in 2011. Seeing him play on the world stage was an inspiration—not just for our team, but for everyone who believed in the power of sport to unite, uplift, and inspire.
Daniel was more than just a great athlete; he was a lovely lad who made a lasting impact on our team. The friendships formed through our shared love of the game are a testament to the kind of person he was—funny, kind-hearted, and full of life, His legacy will live on in every match played, every friendship formed, and every memory shared. He will always be remembered as a true champion, and we are all better for having known him.
Kevin always spoke so fondly of Daniel and the many good times they had on summer camps, which I’m sure will carry on up in heaven.
Rest in peace, Daniel. You will never be forgotten.
