Brendan Sheehan 💚🤍
Brendan was the very definition of a Naomh Éanna man. His contribution to our club over many decades was immense and touched every aspect of club life.
As a player, Brendan proudly wore the Naomh Éanna jersey and was a talented and committed player who gave great service to the club throughout his playing years. His passion for Naomh Éanna was evident both on and off the field, and that commitment continued long after his playing days had ended.
As Club Secretary for many years, Brendan worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of Naomh Éanna. He was instrumental in organising and promoting the club lotto, served with distinction as a committee member, and represented the club proudly as a County Board delegate.
Brendan also gave generously of his time on the playing fields, serving as a selector with numerous teams and helping to develop generations of Naomh Éanna players. His commitment to player development was particularly evident through the Street Leagues in Garden City, which he organised and ran for many years. Countless children took part under Brendan’s guidance, with many going on to represent the club at all levels. The memories, friendships and love of Gaelic games that grew from those leagues are a lasting part of his legacy.
A great supporter of every club event, Brendan was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. He was a friend to many, a familiar face around the club, and someone whose dedication, warmth and love for Naomh Éanna were evident to all who knew him.
Brendan's passing leaves a great void in our club community. His legacy lives on in the generations of players he encouraged, the countless hours he devoted to the club, and the enduring spirit of service he embodied throughout his life.
Naomh Éanna has lost one of its finest servants and truest supporters. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
We send our deepest sympathies to Kate, Deirdre, Colm, Eimear, his beloved grandchildren, daughter in-law Clare, sons in-law Paddy and Declan, brother Joe and his extended family and friends.
