We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Philip Ivanoff, Cloneranny, Castletown.

Our sincere condolences go to his son Noel, and to Shane and Emer, valued members of our club, as well as to Maura and all the Ivanoff family at this difficult time.

Philip was clearly a much loved husband, father and grandfather, and his loss will be felt deeply by all who knew him.

Gorey RFC J1s Claim Dramatic Win Over Enniscorthy in Arklow 🟢🔵⚪ What a game, what a win, and what a weekend for Gorey RFC! The Gorey RFC J1s produced a brilliant second-half comeback today in Arklow to overcome local rivals Enniscorthy on a thrilling scoreline of 35–33. Enniscorthy went in at half-time with a 23–13 lead, but Isaac Porter’s men were far from finished. Gorey came out after the break with real intent, scoring two tries to bring the game level and set up a cracking finish. From there, it was nip and tuck all the way, with both sides exchanging scores in a fiercely contested local derby. Enniscorthy threw everything at Gorey in the closing stages, but the lads dug deep, defended with heart, and held on for a superb 35–33 victory. This win caps off a remarkable weekend in the club’s season and shows once again the spirit, fight, and belief running through Gorey RFC. Well done to the players, coaches, and all the travelling support who made themselves heard in Arklow. 💚💙🤍

Best of luck to our Gorey RFC J1 Senior Team as they head to Arklow this weekend for the Towns Cup Plate Final.
The lads take on local rivals Enniscorthy in what promises to be a huge occasion for the club, with kick-off at 3.00pm.
Gorey come into the final full of confidence after a fantastic 29–27 win over Kilkenny in their last outing — a performance full of grit, determination and real character. That win showed exactly what this squad is about, and they’ll be hoping to bring that same energy, belief and fight into Sunday’s final.
Finals are never easy, and derby games bring an extra edge, but this group has worked hard all season and now have the chance to bring silverware back to Gorey RFC.
We’re calling on all Gorey supporters, families, friends, club members and former players to make the trip to Arklow and get behind the boys. Your support from the sideline can make a massive difference.
Let’s turn Arklow green, blue and white and roar the lads on as they go after the Towns Cup Plate. 💚💙🤍
