Saturday 20th March, Radisson Blu Limerick — plus Sunday 21st March Teachers Day.

This is the only in-person event in Ireland where you train with teachers of this caliber. Benjamin Degenhardt and Brooke Siler — in the room, not on a screen.

Whether you’ve been teaching for ten years or ten weeks, you belong here. New teachers, experienced teachers — we all need to get on the mat regularly, and we all need teachers who push us further.

I don’t know who said this, and I can’t remember where I heard it, but it goes along the lines of this that the tower is the workhorse of the studio - like what does that mean? When I think of a workhorse, I always think of animal farm by George Orwell and Boxer - the trudging up the hill in the rain with the rocks - doing the work slowly, but surely no matter what.

But I never feel the drudgery of hard work when I’m on the tower. It feels light and wonderful in my body there is support and direction, but not as much as the reformer and of course it doesn’t move. It also feels like it really makes in roads on your body. You know the big gaps.

Mentally at the start it feels really intense, but now it doesn’t. Once again, it is such a challenge to verbalize what Pilates is, but this apparatus is the wonderful character boxer from animal farm is the best I can come up with.

I’ve put on an extra Reformer training in the summer due to demand. If you want to get started teaching Reformer and you want to learn in person in Galway and you want to learn the classical exercises. This is the course for you.
July 19/11/12 and August15/16 th - you must be trained in Mat first and you need to have done 20 Reformer classes minimum.

I asked you answered - my Pilates academy is growing course by course slowly but surely. I’m delighted to offer a Tower Teacher Training on the weekend of July 18 and 19th.

As always, I’ll be following classical Pilates exercises. And as always, the course will be very enjoyable and very informative.

The skills you learn on a tower are so transferable to the Mat and the Reformer - but once you put on a set of leg springs, you’ll never look back.
