I’ll be starting the match making on Sunday 4th January for the “Clash In Clonboo 3” event.

Mostly Juniors but possibly a few Senior Low Kick Light Conact fights also.

All fights in a boxing ring, DJ, MC, Pyrotechnics, warm up area, lots of free parking, almost 1 feet tall trophies for ALL fighters (win, lose or draw), uniformed Officials/Medics etc.

Great day yesterday at the Light Contact Kickboxing event in Ballinfoile Community Centre.

Fighters came from all over Ireland and competed in their chosen sport in a controlled environment, gaining invaluable experience and making new friendships in the bargain.

Everyone was polite, sporting and respectful in what was probably one of the last events of the year on the Irish Martial Arts Calendar.

Big thanks to our super set up crew for getting the venue ready and to everyone who helped put everything away at the finish and of course to our two lovely ladies Hannah & Gemma who served refreshments with a smile throughout.

Shout out to our great friend Paddy White who provided a Martial Arts Stall on the day selling top quality equipment.

Also a huge thanks to the management & staff of the Ballinfoile Community Centre who were really helpful & accommodating throughout the weekend and also to the Order Of Malta who were absolutely top shelf all day and took great care of all the athletes.

Lastly, a huge thanks to all the unsung heroes of these gigs, the hardworking officials who worked hard all day with the minimum of fuss and of course to the fighters, supporters, parents & coaches who came from near & far.

Another National Title on this already cracking event - this time for the IKF Irish Bantamweight K-1 Title.
One of our Black Belts & Assistant Instructors, Oisín Concannon from Barna will lock horns with Wicklows Caelin Gilsenan from the highly regarded Kickfit Gym under the watchful eye of head coach Paul White.
Caelin won out the ISKA -60kg K-1 National Championships earlier this year and will be eager to add the IKF Strap to his collection.
Oisín however, will have something to say about that.
The Battler from Barna is one of the hardest workers on the Irish Kickboxing scene at present and will leave no stone unturned in his preparation.
The pair met over a year ago with Oisín taking the W but the Wicklow Warrior made him work for every inch of it.
This time however, there’s a lot more at stake so expect no less than a war.
This one has fight of the night written all over it 🧨🔥.

Doctor by day - Fighter by night 👊👊

Our very own Giulia Comini will be taking on Boxer/Kickboxer Chloe Keogh from the renowned Limerick Hub Gym for the ISKA -61kg All Ireland Lightweight Title over 5 x 2 minute rounds in the Ardilaun Hotel on SATURDAY 20th SEPTEMBER.
Chloe won out the ISKA Nationals in 2024 AND 2025 in the -60kg category while Giulia won this years ISKA Nationals in the -65kg category.
They will now meet at 61kg for the coveted ISKA Belt.
Giulias title bid has been kindly sponsored by the World famous Garavans Bar in Galway City.

Big time K-1 is back with a bang in Galway City.

The fabulous Ardilaun Hotel on Taylors Hill will host an exciting 18 fight card including Two All Ireland K-1 Titles and a Professional K-1 Fight as main event.

The headline fight will feature local hero Corey O Malley taking on teak tough Ukrainian fighter Viacheslaw Ibrahimov (Slava) in a Professional 3 X 3 minute rounds full rules K-1 bout.

Both men turned Pro recently and this will be their second fight each in the paid ranks.

They met before in the Amatuers in the -65Kg ISKA Nationals in Derry and it was a fantastic fight - very close and well matched with O’ Malley taking the nod after three hard rounds, but this time the weight has been set at 63kg and the rounds are substantially longer at three minutes each as opposed to two minutes so will this be a deciding factor ?

One thing is for sure - Slava will want his revenge and Corey will want to take the W again in front of his home fans.

In any case - Expect fireworks in the Ardilaun in SATURDAY 20th SEPTEMBER !!!
