All the best to our friends in Ballinrobe with it!

Ballinrobe RFC are proud to be hosting a fundraising day in memory of our late team member Aidan Golden. The Aidan Golden Memorial Cup, a tag rugby competition, will be held on Saturday 13th August at 1pm in The Green, Ballinrobe.

Teams of 10 are invited to join us on the day for a fun filled event and can register their team for the day here:

We would be delighted if you could support this fun day with a kind donation to help raise funds for our chosen charity. We will also have refreshments, finger food and entertainment on the night in Flannerys Bistro at 8pm and would be delighted if you could join us.

Statement from Galway Corinthians RFC

Galway Corinthians RFC announce with the deepest regret that we will be unable to hold our TAG Rugby event this year.
Despite the best efforts of the club to look at all options so that the tournament could be held, it emerged over the weekend that many aspects of the tournament could not happen.
The number of teams playing would have to have been reduced along with the number of games played and certain events such as the Fancy Dress and finals nights would have to be cancelled this year along with other nights that have become as much a part of the TAG as the rugby itself.
As teams pay good money to enter a competition like the Corinthians TAG, we have always endeavoured to give them value for the money they have paid. This year, Galway Corinthians RFC feels that value would not be there.
The club is mindful that while the lifting of certain restrictions in the next few weeks may have made certain things possible socially, it was simply a chance that the club could not afford to take given the large numbers who attended in recent years.
Corinthians RFC apologise to all those teams and individuals who were hoping to enter this year on the back of recent announcements. However, the club is delighted to say that an extra special TAG event will be held in 2022 and will be the biggest one yet.
