From the NAC to UL in one day … our younger Shark swimmers were out in full force in Limerick representing the club proudly at the John Dempsey Gala 🦈💙

From first swims to huge PBs, medal swims and brilliant racing across the day, this gala was a fantastic showcase of the future of Shark Swimming Club. More importantly, the team spirit on poolside was second to none with swimmers cheering each other on, supporting teammates and enjoying every moment together.

These development galas are such an important part of the journey and it was brilliant to see so much confidence, determination and friendship shining through from our younger squads.

Thank you to the amazing Coach Niall and Sarah, aswell as Superstar Team Managers Jenny and Ellen and all the other parents who helped out!

Huge shout out to for hosting an amazing and inclusive yet competitive gala for our development swimmers… and we can’t leave without mentioning those beautiful medals!! Go raibh maith agat!!! 🙏🏻

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND FOR SHARK 🦈

What a performance from our Shark swimmers at the Leinster/Connacht Long Course Championships 2026!

Across an incredible weekend of racing, Shark swimmers delivered outstanding performances in the pool, bringing home:

🥇 Multiple Connacht Championship titles
🥉 Podium finishes across all age groups
🏅 Countless finals appearances including superfinals and PB performances

The championships also showcased the exciting future of Shark, with younger swimmers stepping up alongside experienced senior athletes to produce a solid performance for Shark!

TEAM is a huge part of our swimmers experience here at Shark and we are so proud of this amazing bunch always having each other’s back!!

A massive thank you to our coaches especially Ross, Sarah & Daniel for the hard work all year!! Next stop is Nationals and we are locked in for a solid few months of training! We are just getting started!! 🏊‍♂️

Lastly, bravo to & for a fantastic meet and to all your officials, we really appreciate it!!!

🏆 Connacht & Leinster Long Course Age Group Championships 2026 🏆

17 swimmers.
60 finals.
32 medals.

What an absolutely outstanding achievement for our Shark swimmers this weekend! 💙

Every swimmer represented the club with pride, determination and fantastic team spirit across the championships. The results speak for themselves, but more importantly it was amazing to see everyone enjoying the experience, supporting each other and having so much fun along the way.

A huge well done to coaches Ross, Daniel and Rory for the incredible work, commitment and preparation that got the swimmers to this stage.

Big thanks also to our Team Managers Zane and Cassandra, and to all the parents for the official support volunteering, travelling,and early starts getting everyone to UL all weekend. We are so proud of our Shark Age Group Team. Over to the Seniors who take to the NAC in less than 2 weeks!!!

The future is very bright for this team 🌊🦈

Congratulations to all our Shark swimmers who represented the club with pride and determination over the past two weekends at the Claremorris Athlone Gala 2026

An outstanding showing across the board with swimmers delivering a huge number of personal bests alongside an impressive medal haul. The progress and consistency on display was clear in every race

A sincere thank you to the gala hosts for providing such a well run and enjoyable competition. These events are a fantastic opportunity for our swimmers to compete, develop and gain valuable experience
