The annual Tom ( Mahongy ) Walsh mountain lake competition takes place on the 24 july this year. This is the 3rd year of the competition and it has proved to be a great day out for all the family, as well as raising a lot of money for cancer care west.This year proceeds will go to Oughterard christmas lights, another family day out.A beautiful oak trophy has been hand crafted by three of Toms friends.

Tommy,s Tackle Report Update
Winds keeping high, mainly from the east.Good hatches of mayfly, very hard conditions to fish,but against the odds good fishing.
Fished on Sunday, 2 trout on a chartreuse mayfly with a florescent green rib.
Very sad news this weekend to hear an angler was lost on Lough Mask, so safe fishing to everyone with these winds
