Renmore U12 Prem 2 side had a great start to their first season of competitive football with a come from behind win over a very strong Oughterard side. On the New Village Astro, Goals by Ben, Sylvie and Christopher got us over the line. Huge shoutout to Matthew who pulled off an unbelievable full length save in the dying minutes to secure the 3 points. Many thanks to referee Trevor Sherry for his explanations and encouragement of the lads throughout the game.

Massive 3 points in the league season opener for our mens team last Saturday in Renmore against Moyne Villa ⚽️

A wicked cross by Connor Fahy forced an own goal to open the account for the season, with the win sealed in the 2nd half with a fantastic goal on the counter, finished by Cillian Hynes 🔥

Special shout out to Josh Bullman in goals and his back 4. To open the season with a clean sheet is massive and something to build on 💪

Renmore Blues Make Flying Start to U17 Division 3 Campaign 🇱🇻🔥

Renmore Blues 7–2 MacDara

Renmore Blues kicked off their U17 Division 3 season in style on Friday evening, welcoming MacDara to Renmore Avenue for an entertaining, action-packed encounter.

Both teams set out to play attacking football from the first whistle, creating numerous chances at either end. It was Renmore who eventually broke the deadlock when Rithik marked his Blues debut with a well-taken goal. Shortly afterwards, Sean doubled the advantage with his first goal of the evening.

MacDara remained a constant threat and deservedly pulled a goal back late in the opening half. However, Blues captain Senan restored Renmore’s two-goal lead on the stroke of half-time, sending the home side into the break with a 3–1 advantage.

With the breeze at their backs, MacDara made the perfect start to the second half, scoring an early goal to reduce the deficit to just one. At that stage, the visitors appeared to have the momentum, but Renmore responded

The Blues took control of the contest and produced some excellent football for the remainder of the game. Sean added two more goals to complete a memorable hat-trick, while Eoghann also found the net. Nathan capped an impressive debut with a goal of his own, completing the scoring for Renmore.

MacDara continued to work hard until the final whistle, but Mikey and Senan were outstanding in midfield, repeatedly breaking up opposition attacks. When MacDara’s pacey forwards managed to get beyond Renmore’s excellent defensive line of John Carr, Anton, David and John McGrath, goalkeeper Ronan proved a safe pair of hands between the posts.

At the other end, Renmore’s attacking players, Eoghann, Nathan, Sean, Rithik and John Hendley, continued to create opportunities right up to the final whistle.

It was a fantastic start to the new campaign for the Blues, although MacDara certainly played their part in a tremendous and entertaining contest.

If there was need for evidence of how important the Galway FA's Over 35 Women's League it was shown in bucket loads in Renmore Ave, Renmore on Friday night. The women of Renmore AFC taking on the ladies in Red from Colga to be crowned Europa Cup winners.

The game was competitive and tough with the Renmore women putting the pressure on from the kick off. The Colga defense were strong and protected the goal with fire and steel. Both teams working hard and going in at half time 0 - 0.

The second half started with a high tempo with opportunities for both sides. Eventually the Renmore ladies hitting the back of the net with a great shot from captain Sandra Sherry after some lovely team play running up to the moment. Colga did not give up, they continued to fight. Eventually after persistent running from Patricia O' Kane, the defense was broken down again for a beautiful cross from Laobhaise Hutchinson finished with a blast from Michelle Coen. Renmore running out a 2 - 0 winners after a great game of football.

The atmosphere at the game was a great representation of how important the women of Colga and Renmore getting to play football in front of family, friends and neighbours is. The game was a true reflection of women, sport and community all wrapped up in a great occasion. Both teams deserving of such an occasion.

Thanks to the GFA for creating the opportunity for all these women to play, 25 Renmore AFC ladies getting to take to the field of play during the game. Thanks also to the match officials Riona Fallon, Gerard Creaven and Lukasz Orenta.

Renmore U18s on the Double ‼️⚽️🇱🇻

A busy start to life in Div1 with 2 games in 4 days for the lads. Monday nights opener away to Craughwell was a rematch of last seasons top 2 teams in Div2. Renmore came out on top with a 3-1 win..A brace for Hugo Lyangh and Eanna Daly sealed all 3 points on a tough away day.
Thursday night got the Home campaign off to a start with another old foe in Galway Bohs. Always a tough game and with the non stop rain and wind it was anybody's game to win. The lads went behind against the run of play. With lisandro Gijej leveling matters with a cool finish on the stroke of half time. Changes were made and Renmore got hold of the game when Liam Kelly struck to make it 2-1. The game then took a turn when a penalty was given to Galway Bohs. Our NO 1 Oisin Murphy saved the day with a fantastic stop to keep Renmore in the lead. A very tough game in horrendous weather but the lads got the job done . Taking maximum points from their first 2 games.
