1K Classic Returns to Lough Rinn This Weekend

We’re excited to welcome clubs and supporters to the 2025 1K Classic, taking place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June at the Lough Rinn Rowing Centre, Mohill, Co. Leitrim (Eircode: N41 KH22).
Organised by the Rowing Ireland 1K Classic Committee, this much-anticipated fixture returns in an extended two-day format to accommodate growing demand and a packed racing schedule. All racing will be held over a 1000-meter course, and in line with Rowing Ireland regulations, the 1K Classic is a Non-Status Regatta.
Racing will begin at 9:00am on Saturday, offering two days of competitive action for clubs and crews from across the country. As one of the most vibrant regattas on the domestic calendar, the 1K Classic continues to attract a broad field of junior, senior, and masters athletes.
Donal Cronin, Chair of the Championship Committee, commented:
“We’re delighted to bring the 1K Classic back to Lough Rinn for another thrilling weekend. This event continues to go from strength to strength, and we’ve seen incredible enthusiasm from clubs around the country. Extending to two days allows us to accommodate even more racing while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for athletes and supporters alike.”
The race timetable, draw, live results, and points updates will be available online, ensuring all attendees can stay informed throughout the weekend.
Rowing Ireland would also like to extend sincere thanks to Leitrim County Council for their continued support in helping to facilitate this event at the Lough Rinn Rowing Centre. Their partnership plays a valuable role in making the 1K Classic a welcoming and successful fixture for athletes, clubs, and the wider community.
