This is a brilliant course for anyone interested in a career in Outdoor Education!
I got my kayaking instructor qualification with them approx 30 years ago 😬 and I'm still going! Maybe not as strong but I still got skin in the game 😄

Our 'Outdoor Sports & Recreation' course is now open for applications.
This programme prepares participants for employment as Outdoor Activity Instructors, equipping them with the practical skills, technical knowledge, and safety competencies needed to lead a wide range of outdoor activities within recreational and Outdoor Education industry.
Alongside activity specific training, the course places strong emphasis on developing personal effectiveness, professional attitudes, and job‑seeking skills. Graduates leave with the confidence and adaptability required to work not only in the outdoor sector, but also in any field that values teamwork, empathy, planning, and dynamic, responsive employees.
The course is classified as Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ
Students also have the opportunity to consolidate their skills and sectoral understanding by taking part in an Erasmus trip to the Ardèche region of France, where they further develop their knowledge and practical abilities alongside our partners at CREPS Rhône-Alpes

I nearly cancelled today's session because it was so blustery all day. But thankfully the winds eased off and we had a right bit of craic 🥰
Tomorrow looks like it's a no show with more strong winds. But there's hope for Saturday 🙏

What a fantastic day to get your first introduction to kayaking! 7 year old Padraig loved it so much he said he wants to do it every day 😂
Forecast looking good again tomorrow so I'm free to do a session at 5.15pm if anyone's interested. Might as well enjoy it while we have it 😎🚣‍♂️🥰

As we head into the silly season I would just like to wish all my fantastic customers a very Merry Christmas!!
I totally appreciate all of you who join me during my open season and just go with the flow. We never know what the weather will throw at us but we never come back to the pier without a smile 😊
Hopefully I'll see some of you in 2026. But until then...look after yourselves ❤️
