Sparks Hip Hop Dance School

Sparks Hip Hop Dance School Sparks is the longest running and most successful modern dance school in Clare. Classes are offered from age 3 upward with classes everyday of the week.

Sparks Dance School was created about 17 years ago by Lourdes O'Donoghue and is the longest running and most successful modern dance school in Clare. The school has gone from strength to strength since its creation. The school has represented "Team Ireland" twice at the "Dance Excellence" festival in Los Angeles, California, including: Dancing at stage in Disneyland!! The school is also home to renowned teams "Sparkattack""Dynamic Process" and "Ignite". Teams from Sparks have won competitions in Tralee, Dublin, Castlebar, Cork, Ennis, Limerick, Dundalk and Mosney. These competitions include numerous All-Ireland Dance Championship, Dancer of the Year, Street Dancer of the Year, Community Games and Irish Open titles. Sparks have performed at many events in Clare and right across the country. Recently flagship team "Ignite" have performed at the Miss Clare and Mr Ennis competitions as well as charity and community fashion shows in The West County Hotel, Auburn Lodge Hotel, Queens Nightclub and The Inn at Dromoland and Dromoland Castle. Along the principal teacher Lourdes, Mikie O'Loughlin and Oskarina O'Sullivan are also teachers. Classes not only take place in the purpose built studio in Ennis, there are also classes in Tulla and Inagh N.S too.

Oskarina Osullivan from Sparks Hip Hop Dance School in Ennis opens in London at The Troubadour Theatre Wembley tonight in "Im Every Woman : The Chaka Khan Musical" .... with Chaka Khan herself watching in the audience !!!!!! No pressure there !!!! We'd like to wish her the very best of luck, not that it's needed, and to let her know how very proud we are of her International Dance achievements!!!!

Bursting with pride watching our girl Oskarina Osullivan open and close Britain's Got Talent last night on Itv with Alexandra Burke as Chaka Khan in I'm Every Woman the musical !!! Past pupil and current guest teacher at Sparks , Oskarina danced her heart out on stage then ran off to board a plane to teach in our school in Ennis all day today !! Lucky students !!! The jewel in our crown 👑 😍
