Busy day yesterday foe the Dungloe boxing club with Lena and Katelyn O’Donnell both fighting in the semi finals of the national cadets.
Lena was up first against Amy Joyce, a very experienced boxer from the Olympic boxing club. Lena gave any all sorts of problems but the experience of Amy proved to be too much and lost on a decision. Well done Amy and best of luck in the final.
Katelyn was up next and once again showed why she is a 2 time national champion. Her cat like reflexes and well timed punches seen her get the decision and progress to the finals

Great performance from Elllis but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. Ellis fought three hard rounds and battled to the final bell but lost on decision to a very good boxer. Great experience and plenty of positives to take moving forward

Massive congratulations to Ellis on winning her semifinal of the four nations with a convincing victory. She fought a very tough opponent but kept her composure and boxed well winning on decision. No doubt she’ll do us proud in her final tomorrow
