I am so delighted to welcome Zsofia Reformer to the Pilates Lifestyle teaching team.

20 years ago, Zsofia first came to me as a client. Since 2014, she's built a wealth of experience as a Pilates teacher, and over the past couple of weeks it's been such a pleasure to see her sharing that knowledge with our clients.

What I love is that we share the same philosophy. We both blend classical Pilates with contemporary movement, and we both believe in teaching with precision, curiosity and care. Every class is about helping people move better, feel stronger and leave with a deeper understanding of their own bodies.

Having another experienced teacher teaching alongside me feels like a really exciting step for Pilates Lifestyle. It's something I've wanted for a long time, and I couldn't be happier that it's Zsofia.

If you haven't met Zsofia yet, I hope you'll join one of her classes soon. You'll be in excellent hands..... and you can decide whose counting is more accurate 😉💛

After more than 6 years, the Barre is back!

12 March 2020 these barres were packed away. Today I pulled them out from under the stairs, dusted them off and even had to remind myself how to put them together!

Then, of course, I couldn't resist having just a little play...
Remember the burn, the stretches, the singing🥵🥰

After 24 years, one of the unexpected gifts of finally handing over the studio booking system to an app is having the headspace to create again. Instead of spending hours managing bookings, I find myself dreaming up new ways for us to move together 💕

This summer I'm introducing a brand new Pilates Circuit class: a combination of the Reformer, the Mat and the Barre, all in one energising session. Expect strength, mobility, balance, stretches, a little sweat, plenty of smiles & lots of singing.

Something very exciting is coming to Pilates Lifestyle this September.

Or perhaps you’re ready to deepen your understanding of movement and take your practice to the next level.

In collaboration with we are so excited to be hosting our first immersive Pilates Teacher Training Programme here in Dungarvan, County Waterford.

Founded in 2004, Pilates Lifestyle has spent over 22 years teaching, mentoring, and educating both students and teachers alike. This training brings together decades of experience, practical teaching skills, movement education, anatomy, and real studio insight in a supportive and highly personalised environment.

This comprehensive programme will include Mat Pilates, Anatomy, and Reformer training, designed to give students the confidence, knowledge, and practical experience needed to begin or build on their teaching journey.

Hosted in our beautiful studio in the southeast, this course is ideal for anyone passionate about Pilates, movement, and helping others feel stronger and more connected in their bodies.

We are incredibly proud to bring this training to Dungarvan and cannot wait to welcome a new generation of teachers into the Pilates community.

My body loves this move....
Headstand → pike → plank → swan… feet elevated on the jump board.

It asks for strength, control, focus—and a willingness to go there.

This is the kind of work that doesn’t just build bodies, it builds trust—in yourself and in the room around you. Because while the exercises can be spicy, the atmosphere here at Pilates Lifestyle is always supportive.

There’s a real sense of being in it together. And I love it - when they think it's all over - I say "now give me an arabesque - each leg" and they perform it effortlessly - well done boys & girls - you make me proud 👏

New courses start next week, and I’ve got just one space in the level 3/4 classes.

Last beginner class of the course.....
Reverse twisty planks — not an easy one.
It requires strength, focus, coordination… and a bit of patience with yourself along the way 😊

Thoughtful movement, strong technique, and a willingness to stay with the challenge - I had to dash for the camera before they fatigued 😁
