North West Coastal Challenge 2026

📍 The Bridge, Dunfanaghy

There are 2 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to choose from this year.
The 54km Challenge & the 34km Sprint.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 is a 5.5km run, a 33km cycle, a 2.5km run and a 13km cycle back to the finish.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩 race copies most of last year's course with the same 5.5km run as the Challenge at the start, followed by a 28.5km cycle.

54km Challenge Route Map

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 is a 5.5km run, a 33km cycle, a 2.5km run and a 13km cycle back to the finish.

This 54km route features a 2.5km run on the superb Lady Isabella trail within the grounds of Ards Friary for the first time.
Competitors will reach Transition 2 on their bikes and from there run through the canopy of trees before passing the beach and the boat warning icon of Ards - The Metal Man!
This is a very special route and we are very grateful to Ards Friary for allowing us access to it for the race.
