Hi everyone hope that you are all keeping safe during the current pandemic! As this year has officially come to an end, I would like to say thank you for everyone's hard work, and commitment over the past two years that I have been in charge. It has been a pleasure getting to know all of you and from the bottom of my heart...... I thank you!
I'm going to be leaving those that remain in the "Capable" hands of Conor Lynch and Liam "Redzer" Kindlon. They will be President and Vice next year.
Many thanks.
Andrew Kelly

This week both DKIT Pool Teams were in action! DKIT A Team played against NUIG, who are the National Champions. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be,as after a hard fought match, NUIG beat DKIT A 14-6 . DKIT A Player of the match was Larry Haggins, who won 3 of 4 games against tough opponents.

DKIT B were up against the current Shield Champions in TU Blancherdstown, and they were locked in a tight battle, but Blancherdstown edged the win 11-9. DKIT B Player of the Match was Kyle McGuiness who won 3-4 games in a fine performance.

The groups are still alive for the boys and they still have a chance in qualifying for the league finals. A special thank you to all of the support that was given to the boys today, it just goes to show how much the society has grown in the last few years!

This week was the start of the SSI National League and both DKIT Teams were in action. Unfortunately they did get off to the start that they wanted to.

DKIT A TEAM travelled to NCI to play against their strong B Team and after an extremely hard fought contest, they lost 11-9. The performance of the day belonged to Jamie Murphy as he won three of his frames on his first ever outing for the society.

DKIT B TEAM travelled down to former all-Ireland champions Carlow IT and unfortunately Carlow's class showed as they closed out a 14-6 win over our B Team. The best performance was from Liam Kindlon who won three frames against tough opponents.

It is still all to play for as in the upcoming weeks, as DKIT B Team will play at home to TU Dublin Blancherdstown, and DKIT A Team are at home to the reigning all-Ireland champions NUI Galway.

DkIT Pool Team fully oppose the Presidents decision to move the graduation off campus. We fully support DkIT Students' Union in their campaign in bringing graduation home to DkIT and we will stand with the Students’ Union for our past and present members and non-members graduating this year and in the future of needed!
