North East Aikido Ireland Head Instructor: Arno Gaultier - Assistant Instructor: Pietro Tisbo

Arno Gaultier started Aikido in 1988 (age 13) and passed his black belt in 1996.

Aikido in Louth & Cavan- Cadets (age 7-16) & Seniors (age 14 & above)
Wednesdays - Blackrock Community Centre: 7.30-8.30pm Seniors : 8.30-10pm
Thursdays: Cavan: TBC
Fridays - Dundalk Sport Centre: Cadets: 7.15-8.15pm - Seniors: 8.15-9.45pm He had been the Uchi-deshi (main student) of Joël Fournier (3rd dan) for over 5 years. Over the last 30 years, he has attended seminars in France, Ireland and the UK with Japanese & French senseis. In 2004, he spent 2 weeks in Tokyo attending the Aikikaï Hombu Dojo, the Aikido World Center. He also followed an Aikido instructor’s training for 5 years with Joël Roche (5th dan). Arno had been teaching Aikido for over 8 years until he moved to Ireland in 2002. Since then, he practised with Cyril Lagrasta (4th dan) at Dublin Aikikai Aikido and with Detta Dickinson (4th dan) at NUI Maynooth. Having moved to Dundalk in 2014, he felt obliged to develop Aikido in County Louth. With over 30 years of practise, Arno now wishes to share his experience. A French proverb says: "the student surpasses the Master". It might mean that "the Master is the one who allows his students to surpass him". Please join us to be one of those who surpasses him, and let him qualify as a master by then!

Fantastic news!
Following Pietro's successful surgery last June, we are delighted to resume Aikido classes from the 9th September onwards:
Wednesdays - Blackrock Community Centre - Duffy Room: Cadets (age 7-13): 7.30-8.30pm Seniors (age 14 & above): 8.30-10pm
Fridays - Dundalk Sport Centre - Studio: Cadets (age 7-13): 7.15-8.15pm - Seniors (age 14 & above): 8.15-9.45pm
