Yesterday Sunday 31st May 2 of our team members Frank and Bosco took part in the Tour of Louth to raise vital funds for Women's Aid Dundalk. The event was very well organised with good marshaling all through the course, well timed food stops and good food at the finish. Thanks to the organisers and sponsors. Look forward to 2027.

The race is delighted to be returning to Dunboyne which previously hosted a very successful Grand Départ in recent years

2026 Rás Tailteann Stage 5: Carlow Town, Co Carlow to Dunboyne, Co Meath 🚴‍♂️🙏

(Distance: 142.4 KM)
Sunday, May 24 th , 2026

(Including three laps of finishing circuit)

Carlow – Castledermot – Kilcullen – Athgarvan – Newbridge – Milltown – Kilmeague – Prosperous - Dunboyne

The grand finale starts in Carlow with a ceremonial roll-out before heading across mostly flat roads through Carlow and Kildare. The only classified climb is the Category 3 Hill of Allen, before the race heads towards Dunboyne.

After crossing the finish line for the first time, the riders will tackle three laps of a demanding and technical 15KM circuit, where the final stage winner and overall champion of Rás Tailteann 2026 will be crowned..

For an amazing charity that do some great work.

This years annual Slane Spinners Sportive honors the legacy of one of our beloved founding members, Killian Galligan, who sadly passed away last year, Killian’s passion for cycling and his community left a lasting impact, he inspired many to take up the sport and mentored so many to achieve their goals and beyond!
We have two great routes this year to choose from, both of which were favorites of Killian’s!
We will be sharing the proceeds between the two charity’s nearest to Killian’s heart, SOSAD and Slane Meals on Wheels.
So please join us on May 4th at our new venue, Slane GFC, Monknewtown Slane, for this very special event in honor of a very talented and dedicated clubman, and friend to all, Killian Galligan

Now is the perfect time! Monday, February 3rd, we will be hosting a fitting session with our clothing partner, Gobik, in from 7-9pm. We will have a wide variety of sizing kit for male and female. There will be free tea and sandwiches also.
Come along and out members will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Share with any of your friends or family that may be interested as well!

"The full entrance fee to cycle the Taaffe Trek is €300, €100 deposit will be taken asap as the hotel requires a booking deposit now to book rooms , the hotel will be an overnight stay in the Ormonde hotel Kilkenny , 3 course meal and BnB with entertainment at Brogan’s bar after , bus back to Dublin the next day. It’s 135km spin and there will be brief stops for refuel and waste at 40km, 80km and 120 km en route , full support crew and marshalled along the way , again a large portion of funds will go directly to Eamonn and his family , it’s a drop in the ocean to help out a colleague in need so please get on board and saddle up, we are looking for 100 cyclists and support crew of 10 on the day. The group will be split into varying abilities and pacing with a group leader each to help out on the road."
