All at Cavan RFC extend our deepest condolences to the Soden and Poyntz families following the passing of Robbie Soden, Drumalee, Cavan, and formerly of Innishmore, Butlersbridge.

Robbie’s connection to Cavan RFC is held with great respect. He was the father of our former Club President and Chairperson Janice Poyntz, and grandfather to current youth player Jack Poyntz, son of Rhonda, whose involvement continues the family’s proud association with our club.

We extend our sincere sympathy to Janice, and the entire family at this difficult time.

The death has occurred of Robbie Soden of Cavan Town, Cavan Ireland, on 30/08/2026. You can view the full death notice and add your condolences here.
