Le parking du Boulingrin se trouve à proximité. Prévoyez un peu de temps pour vous garer.

Vous venez en voiture ? Proposez une place à d’autres danseurs ou contactez les personnes qui pourraient partager le trajet. C’est plus convivial et cela facilite les déplacements !

🔥 **MEN, ARE WE STILL DANCING… OR ARE WE JUST PERFORMING MOVES?** 🕺🏾

🎶 **BANGA — FEEL THE MUSIC. MOVE YOUR BODY. EXPRESS YOURSELF.**

Look at this video. 👀

Sometimes, I wonder whether we have become so focused on learning combinations, perfecting techniques, executing turns, dips and impressive moves that we forget the most important thing…

**DANCING!**

Whether we dance **Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Semba, Kompa or other SBK styles**, the question remains the same:

👉🏾 Are we dancing to express the music, or are we simply showing people what we have learned?

# # # 🔥 BEYOND THE STEPS: LET YOUR WHOLE BODY DANCE

As men, especially as leaders, we often concentrate on leading our partners, controlling movements and making everything look technically correct.

And yes, technique matters. Connection matters. Good leading matters.

But what about **OUR OWN BODY?**

What about our hips, shoulders, chest, torso, weight transfers, body isolations, attitude and the way we interpret the rhythm?

Why should our expression be limited to our feet and arms?

**A man can be strong and sensual. Confident and playful. Technical and expressive.**

These qualities are not opposites. And sensuality does not automatically mean sexuality.

Dance is more than executing steps. It is a conversation with the music — and our whole body has a voice.

# # # 🎶 BANGA: FEEL IT, MOVE IT, EXPRESS YOURSELF

In Angolan cultural contexts, *banga* can carry meanings associated with style, presence, confidence and the way someone carries and expresses themselves. Its meaning depends on context; it is not simply a word for moving the hips.

For me, this video is a reminder to explore our movement, develop our individual style and allow our bodies to participate fully in the music.

Not to copy someone else's personality.

Not to compete over who has the most combinations.

Not to prove that we are the best dancers in the room.

But to **FEEL, INTERPRET AND EXPRESS.**

💃🏾🕺🏾 Whether you dance Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba or another SBK style, don't let technique become a cage. Use it as a tool to express yourself.

Learn the foundations. Understand the music. Develop your musicality. Train your body. Then give yourself permission to dance!

Because you can know a hundred combinations and still miss the feeling of the song.
