We had a lovely evening on the beach to mark the end of the juvenile rowing season. Plenty of games, fun, laughter, pizza and treats to mark the last day of September and the end of the outdoor juvenile season. A huge thank you to all the parents, coxes, coaches, helpers and especially all the young rowers. You are all fantastic. A special thank you to Bruna and the team Skerries Hearing Services who very generously sponsored pizza and drinks for the crews. A beautiful September evening on the beach to enjoy it all.

A huge well done to our 3 crews who took part in the HOPE row hosted by Stella Maris last Saturday. All funds raised are donated to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Inter men & super sub Agnes rowed 10km, masters women rowed 10km - A great way to see the city and to smell the hops at Guinness. Our novice women rowed 5km who for most of the crew was their first time rowing on the Liffey. Well done all rowers. A huge shout out to Stella Maris Rowing Club for a great event for a wonderful cause. Thanks to the burger chefs as well for keeping the crews going and to David Doyle for organizing the event. Days are getting shorter, but there's nothing like dusk against our beautiful sea.

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;

Lengthen night and shorten day;

Every leaf speaks bliss to me

Fluttering from the autumn tree.

I shall smile when wreaths of snow

Blossom where the rose should grow;

I shall sing when night’s decay

Ushers in a drearier day.

Happy Autumn, all😸❤️

⚠️STOLEN ROWING BOAT⚠️
Can all in the rowing community keep a look out for this fisa quad rowing boat that was stolen from Wicklow Rowing Club last night. Contact the Gardai with any information. We all know how hard it is to raise the funds for a boat like this. Awful to think people can stoop so low.

Only 3 days to go until the Round Rockabill Rowing Race 2026. Crews all training hard getting in the last few sessions on the water. Thanks to our event sponsor Events in Fingal, our lunch sponsor Fleetoptions, and also to donnelly fresh Fyffes Official Keogh's Farm for their generous sponsor of snacks for participants. Come down to South Strand Skerries at 12 noon to watch the crews head off for Rockabill. We look forward to welcoming all our visiting clubs and crews.
