Majority of players were latvians, hence as club growing and 3 teams were created new players with different nationalities joined, so club became multinational and original name of Latvianhawks was changed to Hawks & Blackhawks. For period of time 1st Hawks was based in Charlestown on Ice and it's name was changed to Charlestown Chiefs they not only play in Irish Ice Hockey league, but they also p
layed in Celtic Cup with Scottish clubs, hence the club name was changed back Hawks and this year as Santry National Ice Arena is opened Hawks & Blackhawks club is reborn to be play part in Irish Ice hockey development. Currently we have two senior teams and everyone is welcome to join, as well as we have newly created Junior team for kids under 15 years old with practice times on Sunday mornings.
