Great news this evening as we crowned two Dublin Pitch and Putt Strokeplay Champions in Old County. Gerry Clarges took home the Inter prize with a 36 hole score of 100. Daniele Di Tofano won the Junior grade with a 36 hole score of 112. Well done to you both 🏆

Good evening folks. Tonight saw the finals of the GAA and Ladies Handicap Matchplay. The weather wasn’t great, but the pitch and putt was very exciting, and both matches were very close.
In the Ladies’ final, Agnes and Deirdre had a titanic battle. Agnes eventually won at the second tie hole.
The Gents’ final saw Stephen taking on Karl. It was a really tight match, but Karl eventually came out on top with a 2&1 victory.
Congratulations to both winners, and a big “Thank You” to everybody who competed over the three nights.
Tomorrow and Saturday will be a strokes sweepstakes. The Club Strokeplay will be held on Sunday. Play starts at 9:00 and last card is at 12:00. Gents Seniors, Gents Inters and Ladies A - 36 hole competition. Gents Juniors and Ladies B - 18 hole competition, but you can play two rounds and your best one counts. Thank you.

Last night saw the Ladies’ semi-finals and the Gents’ quarter and semi-finals in the GAA and Ladies Handicap Matchplay.
In the Ladies, Agnes Redmond overcame Kathleen Condron and Deirdre Curran had a tough win over Pauline Balfe.
In the Gents, Paul Griffin, Stephen Power, Karl Murphy and Mal Kellett made it through the quarter-finals. In the first semi-final, Karl got the better of Paul at the 18th hole. The second match saw Stephen winning against Mal at the 17th hole.
Well done to the winners, and a big “Thank You” to everybody who battled the tough elements tonight.
Tomorrow evening’s finals are as follows:
Gents Final (6:15pm) – 36 holes
Karl Murphy (+2) v Stephen Power (0) Stephen has 2 shots per round.
Ladies Final (6:30pm) – 36 holes
Deirdre Curran (-12) v Agnes Redmond (-13) Agnes has 1 shot per round.
It would be great if we could have as many members up tomorrow evening to support the four finalists. Thank you.

We had some tightly fought matches on the first night of our handicap matchplay, below are the draws for tomorrow's matches:

Gents GAA Handicap Matchplay 2026
Quarter Final : Wednesday 3rd May, 2026.
⛳️ QF1 Kevin Bermingham (0) v Mal Kellett (9) Mal has 7 shots.
⛳️ QF2 Fintan Byrne (14) v Paul Griffin (1) Fintan has 10 shots.
⛳️ QF3 Patrick Charles (10) v Stephen Power (0) Patrick has 8 shots.
⛳️ QF4 Denis Grace (4) v Karl Murphy (+2) Denis has 5 shots.

The draw for the semi finals will be made after the completion of the QF matches.

Ladies Handicap Matchplay 2026
