At our school we offer classical ballet training of the highest standards in a friendly and encouraging environment, from age 3 years upwards. Children are entered for Royal Academy of Dance examinations and excellent results are consistently awarded at both graded and vocational levels. Classical ballet training encourages and develops self-confidence, poise, musicality and co-ordination. Student

22 years later - a very different role, but the same love of ballet 🩰✨

In 2004, Anastasiia was awarded the Silver Medal at Premio Roma Danza in Rome 🥈🇮🇹 This was followed by years on the professional stage, performances in Italy, and further training as a ballet teacher

Today, that experience has become part of the story of The Metropolitan School of Dance 🤍 Now in her role as Principal and as a teacher guiding a new generation of students 🩰

Experience on stage ✨ Knowledge in the studio 🤍 And the opportunity to pass it all on to the next generation 🩰

In ballet, so much depends not only on the programme, but also on the teacher standing beside your child at the barre 🩰

Our teachers are highly qualified professionals who take the time to see and understand each student as an individual. Some children need a little more encouragement, some need help building confidence, while others are ready for new challenges and more focused training 🤗

We do not believe in expecting every child to progress at the same pace. What matters to us is that each student develops strong technique, feels comfortable and supported in class, and has the opportunity to gradually discover their own potential

And perhaps one of the most meaningful signs of all is that our students trust their teachers, build a genuine connection with them, and look forward to coming back to class 🤍

That does not mean the progress is not there. In ballet, progress does not always look like learning a new or more difficult step every week ☝🏻

Often, the first changes are the easiest to miss: better posture, more precise movement, improved coordination and musicality, and a growing awareness and control of the body ✨

It is these small, steady steps that gradually build strong ballet technique 🤍

Booking your child’s ballet classes will soon be even easier 🩰✨

We are getting ready to launch our new website, where you will find everything you need in one place — from finding the right class for your child and enrolling, to paying for classes online and much more ❤️

We want to make the whole experience as easy and convenient as possible for parents, not only once classes begin, but every step of the way — from choosing the right class to completing your registration 🤍

We will be sharing the link and all the details very soon!

From a parent’s perspective, it might seem like your child already knows the movement - so why practise it again?🤔

In ballet, however, it’s not enough to simply remember a movement. The goal is to perform it with precision and confidence ✨ - maintaining good posture, controlling the arms and legs, moving with the music 🎶, and developing correct technique

With each repetition, your child spends less time thinking, “What do I do next?” and becomes more focused on how they’re doing it 🤍

It’s this strong foundation that allows them to progress to more advanced movements with confidence 🩰✨
