With the transfer window for the Irish Life Dublin Marathon closing on Wednesday, 23 September, Dublin Marathon Group is reminding runners to ensure that any transfer of an entry is completed through the official Eventmaster transfer system.

Using the official transfer process is important to ensure that the person taking part is correctly registered for the event.

When an entry is officially transferred, the new runner provides their own personal and emergency details as part of the process. This means we have the correct information for the person who will actually be taking part on race day.

Any entries transferred outside the official Eventmaster transfer system will be cancelled.

Introducing the Dublin Marathon Group Awards a new annual celebration of the people, performances & impact that define our events, while honouring those who have shaped the legacy of the Dublin Marathon 🎉

The Awards will recognise athletes, participants, volunteers, charities and communities across the Irish Life Dublin Marathon, Irish Life Dublin Race Series and Dublin City Council Dublin Half Marathon.

From outstanding performances and charity impact to inspiring participant journeys, volunteer service and the new Dublin Marathon Hall of Fame, we’ll celebrate today’s achievements while preserving almost five decades of Dublin Marathon heritage.

The inaugural Dublin Marathon Group Awards take place on Friday, 13 November 2026, as we continue our Road to 50 🎉

Award recipients will be selected by a judging panel made up of individuals with long-standing involvement in the Dublin Marathon and extensive knowledge and understanding of its history, people and community. 🏆

The event is invite only and invitees will be notified closer to the night.

Celebrating every mile that makes a difference 💚

Together with our Official Charity Partner, realbuzz, we have launched the realbuzz Shakeout Run, a relaxed, limited-capacity 5km celebrating runners fundraising through the realbuzz charity programme, with each eligible runner also able to register one friend, family member or supporter.

It’s our way of saying thank you for every mile run, every euro raised and every cause supported.

Runners fundraising through realbuzz have been emailed with details of how to secure their place. Check your inbox for full registration details.

Plus, to mark our 45th Irish Life Dublin Marathon, registered marathon runners will have the chance to win one of 45 additional places. Head to our official Instagram page for all the details 💪🏻
