𝗨𝟮𝟬𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱

We would like to notify all members and supporters that our U20s fixture in Mayo this weekend has been cancelled following two tragic incidents on the Mayo train line in recent days.

As a mark of respect to all those affected, the decision has been made that our U20s will not travel to Mayo this weekend.

The thoughts and best wishes of everyone at Suttonians RFC are with those affected, their families and the local communities at this difficult time.

We thank everyone for their understanding. Details regarding any rescheduling of the fixture will be shared when available.

SUTTONIANS MEMBERS TAKE ON PARIS2NICE! 🚴🇫🇷

Tomorrow, a group of our Suttonians members will depart for Paris to take on the incredible Paris2Nice (P2N) challenge in support of Breakthrough Cancer Research.

After 26 weeks of training, countless hours on the bike and quite the journey, including couch to bike for some of the group – the time has finally arrived!

The team are fundraising in support of the early detection of ovarian cancer, inspired by our own Ultan Bannon, who sadly lost his beloved wife Attracta to ovarian cancer at just 55 years of age. Ultan and Attracta have both been great supporters of events at Suttonians over the years, making this a cause particularly close to our club community.

The entire trip is self-funded, meaning all proceeds raised will go directly to Breakthrough Cancer Research.

Everyone at Suttonians RFC would like to wish the group the very best of luck as they set off on this fantastic challenge. We’re incredibly proud to see our members taking on the journey from Paris to Nice for such an important cause. 💙

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

We’re back in action this Friday night as our 1st XV take on Railway Union RFC in the Jim Byrne Cup Quarter-Final.

MINIS & YOUTHS ARE BACK!

This Sunday, 6th September, our Minis & Youths return to Suttonians RFC for another exciting season!

We can’t wait to welcome back all the familiar faces, players, coaches and families who make our Mini & Youth section so special. We’re also really excited to welcome new players and families into the Suttonians community for the first time.

If your son or daughter has never played rugby before, our new 4-Week Rugby Basics Programme is the perfect place to start.

Over four weeks, they’ll get the chance to learn the basics of the game, build their skills and confidence, make new friends and, most importantly, have fun. It’s a great opportunity to get a feel for rugby and the Suttonians community and see if it’s for them — with no previous rugby experience needed.

🧘‍♀️💙 PILATES FOR A CAUSE — TOMORROW AT SUTTONIANS RFC! 💙🧘‍♀️

Join us tomorrow at Suttonians RFC for a special Pilates class with Sole Pilates — raising funds for an incredible cause!

The class is the final fundraising event for a group of Suttonians RFC members who are taking on P2N — Pedal to Paris 🚴‍♀️🇫🇷, cycling to Paris on 4 September in aid of ovarian cancer research and early detection.

After 26 weeks of training, the team are now in their final weekend before setting off. For some, this has been a genuine couch-to-bike journey — and what an achievement it has been! 👏

We’re especially proud to support Emer Litchfield, a long-standing Suttonians RFC member, volunteer and one of the real backbones of our club. Alongside Emer, the rest of the team are also Suttonians RFC members — Jim O’Dea, Conor Litchfield, Ultan Bannon, Peter Lynsky, Pat Bolger and Suzanne Bolger. 💙

💙 Their cycle is entirely self-funded, so every euro raised goes directly to Breakthrough Cancer Research.
