Congratulations to Suttonians RFC Senior Men's player Jack Ussher and Senior Women's player Meabh O’Brien, who were both recognised with Player of the Year awards for their outstanding contributions during the 2025/26 season with Vancouver Rowing Club in Canada. 🇨🇦🏉

A fantastic achievement for both players and a testament to their hard work, commitment, and performances throughout the season.

Everyone at Suttonians RFC is incredibly proud of Jack and Meabh and wishes them continued success in the seasons ahead.

Both Suttonians RFC pitches are now closed to allow essential maintenance and recovery work ahead of the new season.

We kindly ask all players, members, and members of the local community to respect the closure and avoid using either pitch during this period.

As we enter our 102nd year, Suttonians RFC remains built on the same foundations that have carried us for generations: community, commitment, camaraderie, and pride in our club.

In his first address as President, Gerry Ussher reflects on an outstanding season, thanks the volunteers, sponsors, coaches and members who make Suttonians possible, and shares his vision for the year ahead.

A huge thank you to all of our members who gave up their Saturday morning last weekend to help spread a new layer of topsoil on our pitches.

The continued rest period for our main pitch, together with the addition of new topsoil and reseeding, is a great step forward in improving our playing facilities. The hard work carried out by our volunteers last Saturday will help create better conditions for training and matches and ensure our pitches are in the best possible shape for the season ahead.

Suttonians RFC is built on dedication, community spirit, and people willing to give their time for the good of the club. It is this volunteer effort and sense of community that will continue to push our club forward for years to come.

A special thanks to Steve Evans whose hard work and dedication is the driving force behind our pitch restoration this Summer!

Join us on Saturday, 25th July at 7pm in the Clubhouse for a fantastic night of racing, fun, and fundraising.

This Race Night is being held in support of the Newcastle Tour 2026, with a percentage of all funds raised also going towards the Ronnie Maher Foundation, helping to support the development of young players within our club.
