When i was 13 i started smoking, i can remember this day vividly as it was the start of years of poor health and unhappiness. For years nutrition was not a word i knew well, I ate take away junk food at least twice a week, the other meals throughout the week contained very little fresh food, mostly processed garbage. I was a 16 year old boy that couldn't play football for more that a few minutes w

ithout giving up from having no energy, being overweight, and smoking too much. My family was quite the same, all smokers, lacking exercise as part of our lifestyle, until the inevitable happened. My father contracted bowel cancer, possibly from smoking or the lack of green fresh foods. This made my situation worse, the fear and the sadness made me eat more junk for comfort along with smoking and drinking, putting on loads of weight and becoming so demotivated even walking was a chore. My father pulled through but my habits didn't change. A few years later my father was diagnosed with cancer for a second time, lung cancer, again this made me slip more and more. A friend saw how this was affecting me and offered me a book written by an Irish man who summited the 7 highest mountains in the world. This made me want to change, i started training, and training hard, i decided to contact the author asking for advice on climbing a big mountain. He immediately replied with an offer to climb Kilimanjaro in 6 months, i accepted straight away. On the 16th of September 2009 i summited the mountain and it was up until then the proudest moment of my life. Unfortunately after i returned i slipped back into old habits, and the cycle began again. In 2010, a year after summiting myself and my partner found out we were expecting a child. This was the wake up call i needed. I decided to never make an unhealthy impression with my child and i trained to lose the weight i gained, learn about health and live a good happy life. I strongly believe things happen for a reason, and the events that happen in your life make you the person that you are. I learned the hard way, that it doesn't matter how much money you have, or how popular you are. When you look back on your life, if you have not had health and happiness, you were not a rich person. This is why i started Bodycoach. My happiness comes from my family, friends and helping people be happier with themselves, and this is what i would like for you too. Be healthy

Whatever your goals are, or even if you don't have a goal we will establish them with you. Then we will help you reach them and go beyond them. Exercise goals are reached through hard work and mentality, but mentality is a big factor and without it you will not succeed. This is where we come in, we teach the tools to achieve your target, then we train your mindset to be positive, motivated and rewarding to your achieved Goals.

Your weighing scales are the biggest fu***ng liar in your life. Yes they are useful as part of measuring your body but alone they are bu****it.

Muscle weighs more than fat... You might be losing bodyfat and gaining muscle which will see no movement on the scales.

People carry more water at different times for different reasons which has weight.

Stay in a calorie deficit and you will lose bodyfat... END OF!!!!

Do weigh training and you will tone... END OF!!!

Do fitness work to burn calories and increase FITNESS... END OF!!!

There is no magic pill, there are no shortcuts, there are no foods that "burn fat" better than others, there is no "best exercise" to lose weight.

Get moving, eat less, do some weight training. You'll feel awesome, and tell the scales to f**k off!

I smoked 20 John player Blue a day.

I drank Friday to Sunday without fail (and got pi**ed because I was depressed and unhappy with myself)

I ate 3 to 4 take aways a week. At least 3 chicken fillet rolls along with the rest of the crap.

Exercise was the torturous walk to my local.

I've been through everything, depression, weightloss, dealing with my crap, learning to like myself, and coming out the other end thinking, "f**k I'm glad I did that".
