Riga Open G1 2026
Day 2 at the Riga Open saw the seniors take to the mat. SDTKD had one participant.
👏Ryan Doyle - 5th Place Quarter final finish as he moved to to -80kg for the event. A R16 victory v Moldova 🇲🇩 was followed by a QF defeat to Bulgaria.

The venue was filled with Irish again on day 2 with teams putting in some memorable performances and supporting each other throughout.

A fantastic opening day for SDTKD at the Riga Open, with five medals secured by our Cadet and Junior team:

A special mention must go to Victoria and Darius, who secured their first international ranking medals. Both have progressed from grassroots level within our club to become members of our international team—a very proud milestone for them, their families and SDTKD.

We are incredibly proud of how this team prepared for the event, supported one another and stood together throughout every contest. It was a true team effort from start to finish.

It was also fantastic to hear the TaekwondoIreland clubs in great voice, supporting and encouraging one another throughout the day. 🇮🇪

Thank you to everyone who supported the team, both in Riga and from home.
