Hi everyone,

I understand we all have busy lives but it is imperative that we all stand together.

Once again can I ask you all to click into the link below and sign the online petition.

Please don't just rely on someone else to sign it...we require absolutely everyone to sign it so we have a stronger case to submit to Fingal County Council.

It won't take any longer then 1 minute to sign... everybody has at least 1 minute in their day.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has liked and shared the Lusk Swimming Pool 2018 page.

With all of your support we are closing in on 1000 likes in just over a week, that is incredibly impressive and just goes to show that there is great interest in this project.

I have taken the liberty of setting up an online petition.

Below is the Lusk Sports Hub 2020 submission...it’s an interesting and exciting read. But I can’t help but be disappointed that for all the sports to be included swimming is left out.

The idea behind this page is to see if there is enough interest within Lusk and surrounding areas for a Swimming Pool including facilitates to be built inconjunction with the new Lusk Sports Hub 2020.

The Lusk Sports Hub is a fantastic project that finally is becoming a reality with work already started with the er****on of the Lusk Utd new clubhouse and grounds.
The next phase of the project will bring a multiple of new sporting facilities to the area, the full list is as follows,
Football, GAA, Astro pitches, junior and senior pitches, Tennis courts, Cricket crease, Athletes Running Track, Cycling Track, Field activities, Handball and Bowls.

I don’t know about you but that is an extensive list and I for one can’t wait for it to be completed in 2020.

But what I just can’t seem to understand is why are we not catering for the every popular pastime of swimming.
Swimming is not only a life saving technique that everyone should be taught from a young age, but it is also an incredibly enjoyable fun experience for the old and young, whether it’s for fitness, leisure or play everyone can enjoy.

That’s why I set this page up to see if we have enough interest for a swimming pool in the area instead of having to travel out of Lusk to find the nearest one.

The new Lusk Sports Hub 2020 is the ideal opportunity for us to facilitate a swimming pool that we can all enjoy, please let’s not let this opportunity pass us by.

It’s worth a shot... My motto, ‘if you dont buy a ticket you cant win the lotto’ Same approach here...if we don’t ask we don’t get what we want.
