Calling all Galwegians!
Galway visually impaired activities club. are hosting a tandem try day on 20th June in Dangan Sports Ground from 2.30-3.30pm. As part of the day you will get a chance to cycle on tandems and meet club members. The club is also open to new sighted members that might want to become pilots.

Searching for a new challenge? Why not take part in the 5km run as part of this years Trip to Tipp. The event takes place from Thurles Sarsfield GAA club with all funds raised going towards Vision Ireland. And if a 5km run isn't your thing then you can do it as a walk instead! A great opportunity to get out and about on Saturday 27th June.
The race will be officially timed with all participants receiving a medal and event t-shirt.

Sports Focused Deaf Awareness Workshop

Deaf Sports Ireland, in partnership with the Irish Deaf Society, are delighted to host a Sports Focused Deaf Awareness Workshop designed specifically for professionals and volunteers working within the sports sector.

This engaging and interactive workshop aims to increase understanding of Deaf culture, improve communication with Deaf athletes, participants, coaches, officials, and supporters, and promote greater accessibility and inclusion across all areas of sport.

Who Should Attend?

Sports coaches and instructors
Club volunteers and committee members
Sports development officers
Referees and officials
Leisure centre and facility staff
National Governing Body representatives
Community sports leaders
Anyone involved in delivering sport and physical activity.

Benefits of Attending

Participants will gain practical knowledge and confidence to support Deaf individuals in sporting environments, helping to create more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive experiences for everyone.

Together, let's make sport accessible for all.
